Hi,
I installed CHR in Proxmox and now we are testing performance of BGP but we have problem with doropping packet.
Our machine is Xeon E3-1230v6 Inteterfaces in proxmox are configured as openvswitch and VIRTIO. We have card 2x sfp+ AOC-STGN-i2S. In ethtool i turn off offlow and still we have problem with dropping packet.
any suggestions?
small UP.
I was upgrading ROS to RC 6.43 ( in this version we have multi-queue in virtio driver) and i didn’t have any packet drop.
But i have a problem with NIC’s performance . Max traffic was 2-2,5 gbs, but cpu was 25-35 %.
Where can be the problem?
did you disable rapid packet steering in ROS too? You find it in system resource RPS
Also change the interface queue to multi-queue-ethernet-default to use fully the inbuilt queues of the hypervisor.
It should help a little.
Yes RPS is disabled and I set multi-queue-ethernet-default.
I really don’t know why i have problem with performance when i have CPU power .
Hi,
We are having the same issue with BAD CHR performance on Proxmox KVM, Proxmox 5.4 with 10G interfaces.
I see you making use of OVS, are you using OVS-BOND interface?
