Hi,
In routerOS 3.14 I have a problem with BGP “path-prepend” and defaul-route propagation
I prepared a test bench in our lab as shown in the attached drawing.
I set up a “path-prepend=2” on “Router4”.
If all the links are UP, the traffic passes exactly through path “Router2 > Router1 > Router5” as expected.
On “Router3” I have the following route “0.0.0.0/0 GW=10.0.20.1” which is correct, but the second route “0.0.0.0/0 GW=10.0.20.4” is missing. Although Mikrotik say that it shouldn’t be there I believe it is quite the contrary, but I don’t want to argue about it.
If I interrupt the link “Router1-Router5” the traffic stops,
on “Router3” the route “0.0.0.0/0 GW=10.0.20.1” disappears, as expected, but there are no other alternative “default-routes”.
I’v tried different configurations,
with and without route-reflect,
with and without Force-self,
with “propagate”, etc.
but nothing changes, the default-route on “Router3” never appears, unless I remove the “path-prepend”.
Where is the problem ? Bug ?
Thank you for your kind assistance.
Regards,
F.
