hi,
i seem to have problems to locate the BIOS for discontinued products of MT/RB. for the RB150 i have to guess it would be the same file than for the RB133 (same cpu). MT, can you somehow have a website with BIOS versions for ALL RB’s including the older models ? i am also missing a change log, in this way i never know when upgrade or when not.

BIOS is included with RouterOS. Just go to “system routerboard” and type “upgrade”

ok, but in many cases i can’t use the latest ROS version and need to be able to get the BIOS only or if i don’t use ROS at all i still like to get the BIOS somehow. a download page would just be that simple.

hmmm… you are not telling me thats all ? why is there a new bios for all other CPU’s as well ??? or do you simply like to have the “numbers look nice” ?

we keep the changelogs symmetrical so some changes are ommitted due to that reason …
the BIOS doesn’t have so many changes or updates …

i have RB 333 with L4 3.0 OS , i download the 3.9 from the site and need to upgrade the RB .
do i have to do upgrade from system only , what about the license will it be erased ? i want to be sure not to loose the license .

Thanks for the link .
i checked the ver for the BIOS , it is the latest 2.12
now i am looking for to upgrade the OS for the RB333 to 3.9 while the current one is 3.0 and i read many recommendations to upgrade and not to stay with 3.0 .
do i have to use auto upgrade ? or what ? i should be ware not to loose the license of the router board .

run New Terminal
/system routerboard print
/system routerboard upgrade
/system reboot

Thanks , when i click on the specs the page expanded to show the specs for the RB with the BIOS file .
i download the file named :
mpc8323-2.15.fwf
and i will use it to upgrade the RB , still waiting your guidance for upgrading the OS to 3.9 .

Thanks for the link , i downloaded before all_packages-ppc-3-1.9 from the site and now i am downloading the file mentioned in the wiki page .
will do the upgrade for the RB today and start checking it before send it to the top of the tower .

i did the upgrade for both the BIOS and the OS for my RB333 , now the BIOS ver 2.15 and the OS 3.9 which i will use as AP Bridge to transmit using three mini pci wireless lans as follow :
i have a X86 pc with OS 3.6 and L4 , i will keep using it with the RB333 to handle the firewall and other configuration .
do you recommend to upgrade it to 3.9 ? , do i have to download the file routeros-x86-3.9.npk and use it or i have to download the iso image ?
