Bircked mAP2n within 15min

I recieved a new mAP2n today which we connected and for most of the day with no issues, brought the unit home and connected it up using the PSU from my 951-2n and the unit worked for about 15min before becoming unresonsive.

I rebooted the device with and on boot all LED remain illuminated but blink every 30 odd seconds. I then reinstalled ROS 5.26 but the issues remained. Decided to try 6.22 as a last reosrt and now I have only the power LED on after boot.

Anyone experience this? I am going back to 5.26 now to see if that have any affect but I doubt it.

did you upgrade the firmware in system routerboard?

Yes, i think. I did the upgrade on the page that does the download inside of Winbox.
I think it might be the lower amps on the psu used at home which sparked this bit i cant be sure.

What is strange though is i can get the device to show in netinstall and reinstalls succeed. Acter the install the device reboots and goes back to only having the power led on.

Yes, the device shows in netinstall and only the power led comes on now. Cant pick it up on winbox.

Manual that comes whit device says:
Operating system support
Currently tested operating syste is Microtik RouterOS starting from version 6.7.

useing 5.26 is doomed to break it. Try to netinstall 6.20

As I said before :
Never downgrade to a version lower than the device was shipped with.

I have sometimes the problem that the power led is verry dark, i think it doen’t boot then also
