Blocking Certain Websites

Hi all,

I would like to block a certain website, using nslookup for its necessary IP addresses. I have tried under the filter section of the firewall dropping the ipaddress/32, on all interfaces, but yet the site still opens up.

My firewall is simply setup with 1 line which I do not know if this is why, basically for my clients to access the net I have a simple masq rule setup for the entire subnet.

Could anybody help me with this please. Would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Darren.

Hey it helps to check around the forum a bit. lol.

I found my solution.

Hi guys,

I am having a slight problem here.

At present I have blocked certain websites, but the way in which I have set it up, it is blocking all my clients.

Is there a way to block a certain client from their mac address? I have places in a rule like ive done before, which would block everybody, but used an extra option under advances called ‘mac address’ and stuck the mac in there, but that client can still open the webpage. Any help will be appreciated.
