Bonding 3G connections to the main office

Hello,

we need to make a project with video over 3G.

We need to send about 2Mbps video signal through 3G connections. Here in Spain we could get between 50k to 1500k of upload speed.. depending on the zone.

It’s possible to make a bonding with 3 or 4 3G USB modems that could work fine? we need to upload this signal to our costumer main office. There we have a big ADSL line or perhaps we could get a fiber simetric connection.

Then.. example of 3x 3G lines to our main static IP.

How we can do this? With EOIP tunnels? PPTP? We will be able to take profit of the 100% of the speed of our 3G?

If someone has done a project like this, contact me please.

Thanks,

You can create EoIP tunnels and bond them together, but you will not get 100% because of tunnel overhead.

wich is the % overhead aprox?

If I have 1Mbps it will be… ¿?

EoIP has 42byte overhead for each packet. So you can compute % based on average packet size that will be passed over the tunnel.

Ok thanks!

mrz, wich is the best bonding methot for this config?

tlb? or rr? and why please!

Notice that our USB could get different speeds because of diferent ISPs..

thanks,

is it TCP or UDP stream?

Is video streaming. They have to send to the main office.

one can stream video over http (TCP), or by multicasting (UDP), or maybe there’re some other ways. so, what kind of streaming do they use?

How do you get each modem to dial out to with the pptp client so you can bond them?

hey…

apology for reviving a very old topic…

did you use the Bonding Techniques for 3G ??

which ones and how? your input is very valuable for me.

knock!! knock!!!

anyone please…

anyone heard/worked with viprinet??

i need to design a similar solutions based on mikrotik hardware and routeros.

can anyone out there help me please?
