guys, I couldn’t get bonding with round robin balancing to work in rc6. I tried:
2x new sempron2200+, 256MB RAM, small HDDs, KT400A chipset, integrated LAN (switched off), integrated VGA, BIOS set correctly.
2x intel pro/100 in PCI slots, not sharing interrupts (irq 9, irq10) in each computer
8port 100Mbit switch, 100% reliably working, tested ; crosscable also used between those four ethernets.
We did everything according to previous experience with linux, mode=balance-rr because we need the throughput. No IP address assigned to physical interfaces, IP only assigned to logical bonded interface. We did everything according to manual, even IP addresses were the same, we tried with and without EOIP tunnel - no success. Nothing.
With Linux, everything works from the very first beginning with the same hardware. Question for guys and mikrotik over here : is anybody successfully running balance-rr bonded configuration? Will you share your configs, please?
