Bonding of 2 ADSL connections

Hi There,

I have 2 ADSL connections (each 20MB/1MB) from two separate providers. Both providers will provide 60GB of download data each. I would like to achieve the following.

  1. Redundancy / Failover - ie if one adsl connection goes down all traffic is directed to the active connection.

  2. Equal usage of the of the 2 x 60GB data allowances.

I understand that I am not going to get extra speed from bonding but I will get additional bandwidth - correct ?

Are there any problems to be aware of. I have heard that some applications might not like the fact that connections are coming from 2 different ip addresses ???

Should I use balance-rr
