Bonding of two wan

Is it possible to bond two wan interfaces simply by adding them as slaves to a bonded interface?

Yes. Depending on the bonding mechanism the other side has to support it, of course. Also be wary of unequal links when you’re bonding. The two links should have the same features or you will introduce packet loss and packet re-ordering, depending on the method.

If you’re not truly “Bonding” then I’m assuming you mean you want to use to WAN links say two DSL lines and load balance over them. It’s tricky if the DSL runs DHCP or PPPoE but it’s pretty simple if it’s static. See the Wiki link below -
