is it gonna be faster if I bond two WLAN interface instead of making nstreme2?
Thanks

Not tried myself, and would like to know the answer if anyone has -
If it does, the results could be more useful in certain applications, as you would get two half duplex channels (i.e. up to 83Mbps x 2 one way) rather than one full duplex (>80Mbps both ways) which should be great for some ISP setups I guess.
CPU power is going to be an issue, I’m guessing 600MHz minimum for this game.

well I’ve got 1500MZH with 256 memory, but I have 2.8 which does not support bonding.
thanks for reply
heya don’t give up too early, I’m interested ![]()
Okej, Patrick, you can’t get 80Mbps real TCP throughput with Nstreme stream. Maybe the TCP bandwidth test will show you that, but that’s all.
I definitely agree with your

MP3Turbo,
You are quite right, 83Mbps is UDP throughput, 72Mbps is TCP, with Nstreme using Bandwidth Test.
Real traffic may vary!
Is anyone else expert on bonding?
I have all the h/w here with 2.9betaRC1, enough radio cards, to try this.
Might run out of speed on the ethernet ports (most of mine are 100Mbps)
Any guidance on how to set this up with wireless and bonding (other than RTFM …
?

No, but I’m willing to provide moral support ![]()
Try this setup:
RouterA StationA StationB RouterB
1Gbit 100Mbit------100Mbit WLAN- - - -WLAN 100Mbit----100Mbit 1Gbit
100Mbit------100Mbit WLAN- - - -WLAN 100Mbit----100Mbit
must create 2 bridges on station A and station B. And Bound the 100Mbit ethernet interfaces of routers ![]()
I’m not sure that only one bandwight-server will be enough to test maximal speeds
Thanks ASM,
I need to find which of our boards have Gigabit LAN interfaces - most are 100Mbps only.
Might take some time to round up the right bits, most of our office LAN items are 100Mbps also (no copper gig ports!) so that getting a test setup is going to be fun …

I know that this setup will work… I’ve made a more simlified before 5 months… But with beta9 (or something like that) wireless link was very weak…
Btw… If you don’t want to use bonding you can use EQMR ![]()
Hi ASM,
Some of the mid 2.9beta’s didn’t work properly with Nstreme - slow throughput I posted a few times on that, and sent many supout’s to MT, and they fixed it ![]()
Am I being slow - what’s EQMR ?

Equal Cost Multipath Routing I mean
made a mistake somewhere ![]()
Hi ASM,
Why don’t we chat offline?
I’m keen to set this demo up, I think you could help lessen the pain …
I’ve not use the routing or bonding features in MT so it’s going to be a steep learning curve otherwise …
I’m very happy to share/post results if we get this working.
