Books ?

Browsing Amazon Kindle books there are only a few regarding RouterOS and maybe two relatively recent handling Switching.
Examples:

https://www.amazon.com/Multicast-MikroTik-LABS-step-step-ebook/dp/B092DR6XH6/

Since I have a Router as well, I don’t really get why the focus on Switching or Multicast in above mentioned examples, maybe I know to little, but anyhow, I am looking for a recent Mikrotik RouterOS Routing/Network general book. In english. I realize asking for a 7 version oriented book may be a bit too much, but I am a reader and like to take things from books in to practice. I will not buy anything more than about a year old.

Advice?

Considering how literate you are in using the search box in MT, (like putting the word book) perhaps a book is not the answer?

Like most that enjoy have some reference material, waiting for something for RoS7 too.

Ops, yes of course should have searched. My bad.

My fav was Dischers RoS By Example 2nd Edition but its dated – will snap up a version 7 when it comes out.

For general routing, you might want to check out RouterOS by Example by Stephen Discher—it’s not version 7-specific, but it’s still practical and easy to follow. If you’re okay with supplementing books with online resources, MikroTik’s own Wiki and forums are great for staying current, especially with version updates. I’ve been in a similar situation with niche topics and balanced it out—like when I started enjoying the best of German literature with these great deals while waiting for updated books to come out!
