Booting up Problem

Hi..!!

I have installed MT on My Computer, and facing booting up problem. When ever i start my computer, i get this error

No Boot Disk Found…Please insert boot disk then press any key to continue…

Please help me in solving this problem…i have installed MT more then 5 times…getting same error all the time.

How are you installing it?

Hi..!!

Installing it from a CD…have selected all packages…

How many hard drives?

only one HDD and one DVD-ROM

Does your BIOS specify booting to the HD?
What version are you trying to install(Have you tried a different version?)?
What type of HD(IDE/SATA)?

If you are doing it just for testing I would suggesting a Virtual machine like VMWare.

Hi…

Yes my bios is set to boot from HDD…
I am using IDE…
I have installed it on my other PC,in that machine its working fine…
only problem with my New Machine…

Does your new machine have sata ports? Try turning them off in the BIOS.

As Louis said, make sure SATA support is disabled, this is necessary for legacy operating systems like XP (until your install the drivers).

Just had to do this last night, adding XP to a dual boot Vista system. (eish!)

Hi..

I will try this tonight and will let you guys know, wheather it works or not…
