I have a question about the usage of breakout cables on the CRS504-4XQ-IN.
As I understand the QSFP28 port can break out to 4x SFP28, as the Q stands for quad, and the switch can assign each lane individually, we can connect 1x breakout cable to 4x different SFP28 NICs.
My question is that while this provides 16x 25GbE connections, can a single lane or in my case 2x lanes fall back to 10GbE to connect to another switch with 2x SFP+ ports running at 10GbE.
You can easily fallback to 2x10G using a QSFP breakout to 4x10G. This works well
Hello.
