I cant seem to get a rb600 unbricked.
Here is how it happened:
installed 4.Beta3, it would not reboot after the upgrade so i waited 30 min and then pulled power.
it came up and i upgraded the license in order to enable the r52n cards. upgrade went through without hitch, except it dident ask me to reboot after the license upgrade. so i pulled the power on the unit again.
this time no joy, board did not come back up. attached serial and found the boot was stuck on starting services.
loaded up netinstall and used the same 4beta3 to make a clean install, this time the board rejected the file saying it was corrupted.
downloaded a clean copy and made a clean install. reboot and the board says the following:

System halted.
Found the key and downloaded it. Tried to use netinstall and add that key, no joy netinstall says the key is invalid.
so i bought another level 4 key (btw how can i generate a key for a software id that is already licensed?)
net install still rejects the key.
then tried loading up 3.25 and 3.20. 3.20 loads and i can get in with winbox. but the license says level 0 and the software id that shows is the 8 char v.4 ID, if i browse and try to import or paste the key, nothing happens, cli and winbox do the same, the cli reports a timeout when importing.
If i try to upload the 4Beta3 and reboot, it says the license does not support upgrading to v4. so im stuck.
I guess if i could get the old software id back i could try and install where i override the key with a valid v.3 key. But i have no idea what that 7 char ID is.
