place before only works in parts where ordering actually matters. In your case the ordering is purely aesthetic.

Gotta agree with original poster - even if that ordering in some cases makes no difference, widely used and in other places working and functional feature should alwayd work consistently.

Or call it illegal syntax and remove it from use in cases where you deemed it shouldnt work and should fail to work without any error message…
