I can see interface, on which user is connected, at hotspot hosts if I enable “Use IP firewall” in bridge.
If I turn this off (whic MT recomends) then I can’t see this information any more, instead there is “unknown”.
Is there a way to see this without “Use IP firewall” option?
Yes. But I must search in bridge hosts for MAC address. Ok, it’s a solution. I’ll write some API script to get this information joined together.
But, problem is that I can’t send that info to radius server in this case. I love to have this info in radacct table.
Unfortunately those are your only two real choices. If you want to have that information in Radius, then the Hotspot itself needs to be aware of it to send it to Radius. In order for that to happen, then you need to check “Use IP Firewall” in the bridge settings. If I remember correctly, having that setting disabled is more of a performance setting than a necessity, if you are bellow %100 CPU usage at peak times you are fine with leaving it enabled, most of our locations run with it on just fine. You might be able to combine the logs in the back end system a bit to insert the information or generate a custom report.
