Bridge port loop

Hi Guys,

If someone is familiar with this issue please..

I didn’t change any config on my bridge ports / vlan and this was happened for a days now.. I am worrying about it..

Error shows in log:
"ether6: bridge port received packet with own address as source address (mac address), probably loop…

Try open your bridge interface, loop protect and set Loop Protect to on. I do this for every interface. I had similiar problem few weeks ago and loop protect doesn’t help. If loop protect doesn’t help try downgrade to bugfix.

This is something which seems to crop up now and again. I am yet to find a “real” solution to it.

Are you using an admin MAC on your bridge? May be worth applying an admin MAC.

Today upon checking on the logs, the issue is not persisting anymore, without any changes. I don’t know if it’s a bug or or something..
