I just tried to upgrade a rb150 board from 2.9.50 to the new version 3.4…
The upgrade apparently worked fine, I could access the board and all it’s configuration was there… The problem is that my bridge filter stopped working… I even tried to make a rule for logging any packet forwarded and it just dont match any packets…
No rule counts or matches any packets at all… So I had to downgrade it back because I can’t do any more tests, it’s a bridge that is currently in production and can’t be offline much more that it already have…
Any thougths?
Make sure you have the bridge set to use the “ip firewall”
[admin@bandwidth manager] /interface bridge settings> print
use-ip-firewall: yes
use-ip-firewall-for-vlan: no
I think I heard a reference to that option only being added to 3.0+ and not the 2.9 stuff. Which would explain the problem your having.
Isn’t IP FIREWALL just an option for me to set if I wanna filter something on the IP protocol (layer 3)? My filters are only in the layer 2, so I don’t need that option set, as far as I understand…0
Anyway, it’s fixed… I had to instal 3.4 and WIPE the configuration and redo it all over again… It solved the problem which, apparently is some kind of upgrade bug??
