I have a strange setup on RB532 P2P link, I have two separate ethernet link which I have to transfer from one side to another side. (Public / Secure data links). First of all, I have a 3com switch with two seperate untagged vlan, one for the public network and one for the secure network..
I connect one of the cable’s to RB532 ethernet1 port (public) and the other vlan cable to ethernet2 port (secure). I have one 5Ghz SR5 card for the wireless connection. I create a static wds link which I added to brigde1, I also add the ethernet1 to bridge one.. same setup for the other side. So I’v got a bridge between the two building. I create a VirtualAP with dynamic wds, and added the dynamic wds link to bridge2, and the etnerhet2 port also. (same for the other side). I can ping the other sides. I cannot ping from vlan1 to vlan2. (so it’s working)
BUT when the bridge come ‘online’ the secure network is unusable, I’v got sql disconnect errors from my servers, which is at the local side, not the remote side, and the network slows down…
If I pull out the ethernet2 cable from the RB532 everything is working fine, no network problems.
I’m using 10.1.1.0/16 at buliding1 and 10.1.2.0/16 at buliding two.. so it’s not an ip addressing problem, also not using dhcp.. at any of my network.
I’m trying this setup with two seperate RB112, one with the public network, one with the secure network (one seperate SR5 card..) It’s also working fine.. But I must resolv the problem with one board … Isn’t it possible with a virtualAP and two seperate bridge??
What type of problem could it be?
