Why Mikrotik can’t work as bridge when one card is in station and other in ap-bridge mode?? It’s NOT 802.11 limitation. It’s Mikrotik Limitation. You should work on it to make it working.
And don’t delete this post like other about this annoying inconvenience!
what are you even talking about? i think you have no idea. if you want to bridge networks, do this:
http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.9/interface/wireless.content#4.13.21.2
the limitation that is in the manual, is for something completely different.
He, he - clever ansver, but not for topic!
I don’t want to use WDS for many reasons. One of them is great Cisco AP on main base station. But i would like to use Mikrotik on second base station. So it would be good to communicate with one WiFi card in station mode and bridge it to 2nd WiFi card in ap-bridge mode.
ok, please list me devices which can do this and we will see how they do it.
Cisco AP series 1200 can do it for example !!!
RouterOS can also do it now. See station pseudo bridge feature in the latest beta versions.
Where could i find documentation for latest beta version??
it is not made yet. We are working on it.You can look in the beta forum for mor einfo on this feature. Some time ago there were posts about that.
we allso got stuck trying to use the bridge mode with station.
the only way i got it right is using a rb500 with 2 wireless cards in it
using the one as station to recieve with using masquerade
and then using the other card bridged with ether1 running ab-bridge tranmitting to other computers wireless

basic setup
Internet from AP – station mode with masquerade --rb500 --ap bridge bridged with ether1 – other wireless pc’s
Hello rzirzi.
Please diagram what you want to do in ascii art.
Another point - why do you need/want to bridge?
