Hi Everyone. I been doing a bit of research but fear I am looking up the wrong thing. Is it possible to say take the default config where the WAN is a DHCP client with lets say a Draytek router in front of it that has it’s DHCP server enabled say 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.200. Un-tagged clients then connect to the mikrotiks LAN and get a 192.168.88.x address but is there a way to add a VLAN so it bypasses the Mikrotik totally and hands the user a 192.168.1.x address from the draytek and be on the same network as the draytek but still be downstream of the mikrotik if that makes sense.
Hi
Yes, it’s possible.
- define vlan on lan interface (tagged)
- define bridge
- add wan & vlan to that bridge
the bridge becomes “new wan” what you need to use for uplink
