I have a fiber internet connection with 32 dedicated ip addresses. I am currently distributing the internet in a building to multiple tenants, each with their own dedicated IP address. Tenants will be using their own routers internally, so I don’t have to worry about their internal structure or security needs. I have run out of ports on my mikrotik. I am able to do it using one router, but I would like to add a second Mikrotik, connected to the first for port expansion. How do I go about bridging the two routers together, if bridging is the right term. The configuration I would be looking for is:
ISP Network: 1.1.1.0/27
Gateway:1.1.1.1
Router 1
Port 1: Uplink to ISP
Port 2: Reserved for future redundant internet
Port 3: Assigned IP 1.1.1.3
Port 4: Assigned IP 1.1.1.4
Port 5: Assigned IP 1.1.1.5
Port 6: Assigned IP 1.1.1.6
Port 7:Assigned IP 1.1.1.7
Port 8: Assigned IP 1.1.1.8
Port 9: UPLINK TO ROUTER 2
Port 10: Reserved For a future router uplink
Router 2
Port 1: Uplink to ROUTER 1
Port 2: Assigned IP 1.1.1.12
Port 3: Assigned IP 1.1.1.13
Port 4: Assigned IP 1.1.1.14
Port 5: Assigned IP 1.1.1.15
Port 6: Assigned IP 1.1.1.16
Port 7:Assigned IP 1.1.1.17
Port 8: Assigned IP 1.1.1.18
Port 9: Assigned IP 1.1.1.19
Port 10: Not Used
Thank you,
Ron.
