bridging a VLAN onto a DHCP server

If I have a DHCP server running on a LAN bridge interface. Can I create a VLAN interface (which I assume I would want to put on the physical port I want this to go on, rather than the LAN bridge) and bridge that onto my LAN bridge, so that I have a tagged VLAN on my physical port (LAN port) which will be on the LAN bridge segment and receive DHCP addresses. Couldn’t get this to work, I ended up making the DHCP server hand out a /23 and creating a second consecutive /24 for my VLAN, with its own address and DHCP server. The point being to isolate a client that I wanted to talk to a specific host on my LAN..

Yes, I have many vlans including my home vlan whose common interface is my home bridge.
The bridge does not have dhcp service. My home vlan is the homeLAn so to speak.

I might try untagging the VLAN on my switch port connected to the router. That would be much simpler…
would still require firewalling though

Sounds like you’ve misconfigured the VLAN stuff … post output of /interface export for us to check.
