Bridging multiple networks

Hello,

i am using MT now for a long time and in several environments and setups. Also I feel quite experienced in routing / ppp / vpn and so on.
But shame on me, I never used EoIP and Bridges. I just don’t know much about these.

Perhaps the question is so damn basic that everyone laughs at me, but im a little stuck
I have room 1 with 5 seperate networks and a Mikrotik V3 in the middle.
Now the customer has requested a second server location, as standby.
The second room is in the same building but 3 stores below.
I need the second room to be able to access all networks in room 1.

There is only 1 physical Gigabit Copper cable availible to connect room 1 to room 2.

So my thaught is, that putting a second MT in room 2 and bridging / EoIP might be the solution to accomplish this?
If so, can someone give me a hint on configuration for this scenario?

Here’s just a basic image of what I intend to do:

Should be an article in the wiki on how to do this…

Hi,

thank you for the answer, but actually I couldn’t find anything in the wiki on this one.
The closest bet ist Bridiging one network via EoIP.
Taking the example from the wiki and reading the manual, let’s me think the following might work:
add all interfaces to the bridge that should travel through the eoip link.

Will this work for me, or are the side effects on my routers to be aware of?
Any answer is highly appreciated, since testing it out is currently not an option…

This may be clunky but it may be best to create a PPTP tunnel which will work as long as you can ping the remote IP, then you can create an EoIP tunnel over top the PPTP interfaces.
