I just ordered a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN to replace the WNDR3700/OpenWRT in my house. I also have a Unifi AP to use, to extend the wireless.
Later this spring I’m planning on deploying something similar for two different community groups I’m involved with as a favor, so really this initial purchase is for practice and a learning experience. Plus I just want something more robust than the WNDR.
Which brings me to the question: As I understand it, the Unifi’s can be set to the same SSID, and clients will roam between the two seamlessly (barring any buggy clients). If I do the same with a Unifi and the wireless part of the RB2011, will that have the same effect? Or will I need any special VLAN configuration to accomplish this?
