Broadcast Traffic (Traffic Spikes)

Hi all,

Lately I’ve been seeing consistant traffic spikes on one of my ethernet interfaces. It is one of my main links that my clients are coming in on. Normal traffic is about 20 Mbps but I see it spike up to 30-40 Mbps. The odd thing is, it’s only on the TX side, so that tells me it’s sending out from my Mikrotik. I’ve checked other Mikrotik routers hanging from the other side of the ethernet port and the spikes are recieved on them as well.

Any one have an idea on what this traffic is? or how to really sniff traffic coming out of this interface?

We are running VPLS and OSPF. Can this traffic be route updates??

Any help is greatly appreciated.
