Broken reset button on hAP ac2

Sup, don’t ask how I did it, but I broken off the reset button with a part of the board. The issue is that the router is bricked and without the reset button I can’t netinstall it. Are there any alternative ways to get it to boot into netinstall? Or if not, what I need to do to get the button soldered here, or at least short the contacts?

Different devices but most reset buttons work the same way.

As you can see on the photo, part of the board including the soldering pad has been broken off, and just shorting it doesn’t work.

Sure you cannot short the bottom right side pad in your photo (as it isn’t there anymore) but you should be able to understand to what the now missing pad was connected.

On the Ac2 it seems like the contacts are the 1 and 2 in the picture here (and you miss the 1):

Likely the 1 pad is connected to the nearest side pin of the component (capacitor?) near it.

I would try connecting the pad 2 with the point marked by the red arrow.

So, I’ve tried it and didn’t even get to have a blinking PWR light, buuuut… eth4 started lighting up for some reason.
It lights up together with PWR when the power cable is connected and doesn’t go away.

Assuming that you have already tried both bootloaders (one with reset button pressed/shorted before applying power, the other with reset button pressed/shorted immediately after applying power), there is not much else you can try if not attempting a complete reset and then netinstall.
Should be 300 seconds, see:
