Hi Folks,
I have a Routerboard 750G r2 running ROS 6.37 at my house as a test case. It sits behind a DSL modem in bridged mode. Default config, everything works fine except that I am unable to browse to my NetExtender download site running on port 4433. The connection just hangs forever. This happens on any HTTPS connection to a site using 4433.
I can browse to the site directly connected to the modem (taken out of bridged mode obviously). I can browse to the site when using the router behind a cable modem. It is the combination of the two devices that presents this issue.
Additional steps: dropped MTU size down to 1480, disabled the firewall entirely, and confirmed that TCP MSS is set to YES. My only WAG is that the issue lies in NAT from the lan to the pppoe-out1 interface to the modem somehow, although my understanding is that bridged mode should bypass the modem’s nat.
I’ve been pounding my head against this for a bit, any suggestions will be appreciated. Let me know what other info I can provide.
Thanks,
