we have the following setup:
- Routerboard with RouterOS 2.9.46
- Internet Connectivity via eoip-tunnel
- PPPoE Server on wlan Interface
- A lot of simple Queues (matching Mangle Rules)
We notice the following: One Customer hammered the PPPoE Server with a lot of Sessions, causing 100% CPU usage over several Minutes. The used Memory also increased heavily (about 10MB more usage, currently there’s 7MB free)
We think that this also caused the simple rules to behave really strange. Only “Download Rate” was seen. The Upload-thing just stopped to increase. A “Reset counter” cleared everything but Upload things weren’t seen.
Disabling/Enabling all rules fixed the problem.
So i dont know if there might be a bug somewhere or if there was a lack of ram that caused this strange behaviour.
