I recently set in some radio bases, ACLS in my APs, some access-point accept some signals levels (good ones) an others for the “bad ones”.
Both APs & CPEs are Mikrotik.
If I use large scan-list (56 channels) in the cpe side, the cpe continusly try to connect to the same AP (best signal for him, but this AP has an ACL that denied the connection).
The log on CPE, shows again and again the same:
02:00:00:98:A5:10@wlan2: failed to connect, on 5600/20-Ce/ac, association failed: association denied for unknown reason (12)
if I use shorts scan-list (4 channels) all was fine I got the connection to the right AP (based on my ACLS)

APs for good signal levels use plain 802.11
APs for bad signal levels use NV2.
CPEs use wireless-protocol=any
We are using ROS 6.41 for all solution.
Use short scan-list is not an option for me, because we do severals background scans at day.
