bug or feature?

Why is there a difference between the signal strength on a scan and the registration on ros4beta4 and above using r52n’s?

Using a 411,r52n, any antenna and rosv4beta3 you can run a 5ghz scan on any ap/bridge and pick up a signal and it will register at the same signal +/- 1db.
However if you upgrade to rosv4beta4 the registration is 3-4db’s worse than the scan signal for exactly 120 seconds/2mins then the signal jumps to the scan signal and remains stable until the link gets dropped then starts over again

After upgrading version by version from rosv4beta4 to v4.6 i noticed the difference between scan and reg signal gets greater… :open_mouth: with 4.6 there is a 10db difference, again for exectly 120 seconds/2mins.

My fear is that by the time v4.20 comes out there will be a 40db difference or something

I have tried on various modes/settings/antennas/locations and this problem is everywhere..even using SR7 cards

Note this problem does not happen when using R52’s or rosv4beta3, and only affects the rx signal on the rb your scaning from.

Issue being a stable link of say -84 tx/rx will not register for over two mins from reboot because it’s trying to register at -94 or something
