Greetings from Greece and congratulations for this very nice job!!!
Someone else may already noticed this bug too:
Even if you create a user with “read” only permission, he will still be able to delete map, rename map, and many other things that he shouldn’t allowed to. Especially for map renaming, a message appears “you are not allowed to do this”, but the map is actually renamed!
Also, passwords from network elements can easily be seen from ANY user. That’s a VERY high security risk IMO, and it’s not new. As I can remember, same situation was with all previous releases of Dude.
I noticed these bugs, because I had to give “read-only” access to some of my network users. Suddenly I started to miss maps, passwords were revealed, etc!!
I don’t know if a solution like this could be implemented: Ability to determine which modules will user have access to.
For example, “User1” will have access to all modules, but “User2” will have access only to Logs, “User3” will have access only to “Logs” and “Maps”, etc.
Opinions please?
