I’ve run into this a few times now and again tonight while trying a few things. My test setup is either a wrap.2c or a rb532 with 1 or 2 cm9 cards, a wds interface with a valid or invalid entry, and a bridge.
I’ve tried this with and without wds. With wds, both ap-bridge and wds-slave. Without wds, mode of ap-bridge - I’ve completely wiped out wds settings on the card, removed it from the bridge, etc.
Putting ether1, wlan1 and/or wlan2, and/or one wds device all into a bridge, if you disable any wireless interface, you lose connectivity to the device unless you reboot or go to console. The bridge has an IP, and even with ethernet enabled and used via winbox, as soon as a wireless interface is disabled, the ethernet port stops responding and winbox hangs - I’ve waited up to 30 minutes and still nothing. Enabling the wireless device via console will bring back the ethernet port immediately and winbox will start working again.
This caused us a huge problem a few days ago (disabled a second card that wasn’t currently doing anything)…I thought it was a config issue but have just verified this several times with a clean install - 2.9.14 and 2.9.17 are the 2 versions I’ve tried that do this.
Any ideas why this is happening?
