Bug with wireless interfaces in bridges (2.9)

I’ve run into this a few times now and again tonight while trying a few things. My test setup is either a wrap.2c or a rb532 with 1 or 2 cm9 cards, a wds interface with a valid or invalid entry, and a bridge.

I’ve tried this with and without wds. With wds, both ap-bridge and wds-slave. Without wds, mode of ap-bridge - I’ve completely wiped out wds settings on the card, removed it from the bridge, etc.

Putting ether1, wlan1 and/or wlan2, and/or one wds device all into a bridge, if you disable any wireless interface, you lose connectivity to the device unless you reboot or go to console. The bridge has an IP, and even with ethernet enabled and used via winbox, as soon as a wireless interface is disabled, the ethernet port stops responding and winbox hangs - I’ve waited up to 30 minutes and still nothing. Enabling the wireless device via console will bring back the ethernet port immediately and winbox will start working again.

This caused us a huge problem a few days ago (disabled a second card that wasn’t currently doing anything)…I thought it was a config issue but have just verified this several times with a clean install - 2.9.14 and 2.9.17 are the 2 versions I’ve tried that do this.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I just spent three whole days testing the dual nstreme and I was jumping up and down cursing MT and wanted to smash my test PCs.
I had every thing working but the rb230 and rb532 were way to slow to handle a full duplex like. And the point of the test was to see how fast I could get a link working. So with the need for a bit more speed I stepped up to a pair of 1.2Ghz PC and I still had it working just fine. Now here is where things started pissing me off. I setup two 3.2Ghz PCs with the same two DOMs and RB14 with a sr2 and sr5. Getting the PCs to boot was a bitch and then after spending hour’s dicking with that I could not get the links to work. I could get the two sr2 to work or the two sr5, but not both at the same time.
So after hours of smoking and drinking I said FORK IT! I’m going to reset the DOMs the default and start from the beginning with a fresh config. I then set every thing up as it was before and it all ran great once again. It was as if some configs got saved that that didn’t show up anywhere.
So this time and many time before I have raised a fist to MT, but in the end it was just me changing so many things that it crapped up the system. Yes me, It was ME! NOT MT.
