bugs 4.0 beta2

This is based on using The Dude on w2k3 sp2.

If you select a device then click the copy button the history graph will be reset and all the collected data will be gone.

Copying a probe includes XML for all the devices it is installed on.

If you click “add static” the dude crashes.

(multiple items probably all due to the same bug(s) or related somehow)

  • If you export a large configuration file probes will start failing and report as down.
  • Often labels will show Rx:[Interface.InBitRate] Tx:[Interface.OutBitRate] instead of the value. Reported when 3.6 was released?
  • False positives, devices that are not actually down have probes timeout.
  • Ping will usually record some value and continue to record that value for days. Manually Reprobing causes the value to reset. An example would be it is impossible for my server to have a ping of 50ms (it is connected on the local segment on a Gigabit network) but it does then if I manually click reprobe ping will drop to 1ms.

Something breaks with files larger than 2gb.

All I can think of for now…

The remove resolved button on the outages tab of services doesn’t remove resolved outages.
You can remove resolved per map and per device but not from within in the global services panel.

Problem with Dude 4.0 Beta 2 STATIC to add object on the map.
The Dude see a mistake in closing the software.
I’m using Windows Vista Home Edition br / SP2.
