Building a Static route (static public IP)

Hey Guy’s.

I thought that this setup would be a lot easier than what it turns out to be.
I basically have this:

Example-
Hard ware ~~ Internet Cloud - DSL Router with range of 5 IP’s - MT Public Int- MT Local Int
Subnets ~~~ #%$#%#$%^ - $$$.$$$.$$$.54/29 - $$$.$$$.$$$.54/29 - some local subnet
IP conf ~~~~ ------------- - IP $$$.$$$.$$$.55 - IP $$$.$$$.$$$.56 - some local IP

Now the internal network is working great (IP set up along with DHCP)…long story short.
I can do the DHCP on public and PPPoE on public…but How do I create the static route
and set up my DSL router as my gateway? Where do I set up a “Default route”?

I’ve tried IP > Routing > +route and then it doesn’t recognise which interface to use.
I also can not manually change this. I’ve also tried adding it via telnet / console.

I guess what I’m asking is if you have done this before and have a static routing how to,
could you share your knowledge? Please?

This is bringin me down :open_mouth:

OK so as I thaught - it’s a patada patado scenario…

When you enter the IP, make sure it’s the correct format.
Then when you add the external gateway, don’t enter ANYTHING
except the gateway address. Ok I might be making a bigger deal
out of it, but for the moment it works…

supposing that I understand well, you have BAD Subnets
Subnet 10.10.10.54/29 is mistaken
Subnet 10.10.10.48/29
HostMin: 10.10.10.49
HostMax: 10.10.10.54
Broadcast: 10.10.10.55
http://jodies.de/ipcalc?host=10.10.10.54&mask1=29&mask2=
for example

Dont recognise which interface use because gateway IP and Public IP are diferent subnet’s

using correct data, you are by good way
in Winbox IP → Routes → + (“add”), complete gateway only and press OK

excuse to my poor english
