Can access via webfig, no access via dude/winbox

Hi guys,

Terribly sorry if this is the wrong board, but I’ve got an issue. I cannot access my MikroTik RB1100AHx4 Dude Edition via dude client / winbox, only webfig.

Webfig works fine with the admin password or any other user I create, the other clients (winbox/dude client) respond to connection attempts but give the error:
“login failed invalid username of password (6)” and in the logs I can see:

Previously I was able to access the router through every client just fine. This happened after I had to fully factory reset and netinstall back the Router OS due to the router not coming back up (boots up but doesn’t go through the port flash up sequence) after upgrading to 6.43rc19.

Any advice is very welcome. I am considering to fully reset it once again, but I have quite some people working on it and I cannot just put them offline, I have to get a change window etc.

chseck your user/pass. Then check it again. If not ok - check if yopu have the correct rights to the user

Note that newest v6.43rc versions require Winbox 3.14 to be used.

Thanks - I’ve upgraded my Winbox from 3.13 to 3.14 and it logged me in. My credentials are surely correct.

The only thing wrong now is that I am unable to connect with Dude client - my Dude client version is 6.42.3 and it is giving me the ‘‘invalid username or password (6)’’ error even though the credentials are correct. Is it perhaps a similar upgrade issue like with Winbox? I did not see any newer version of Dude client.
