Hi

can anyone assist me in configuring e-mail option in tools menu.

i tried some thing but it doesn’t working.

What exactly is not working for you? It is easy to fill IP address of the mail server, port (usually 25) and sender e-mail address.

Ya i have assigned my mail server ip address and port number.

but when i try to send a mail from mikrotik it is showing status like failure and i didn’t any mail from mikrotik.

If you need more info on the failure,

/system logging
add topics=e-mail,debug action=memory

Try sending an email, then check the log. Any questions and you should post the log entries.

Using WinBox:

You should set Email settings (Tools → Email) - you have done this already.
Go to System → Logging, Actions, click plus button and create new log action of type “email”.
Finally, you should assign email action to some topics in System → Logging, Rules - let’s say for critical topics only (or what you need).
