Can hap ax2/3 and/or cap ax operate in 5ghz-ac mode (wifi-5)

Is it possible to for hap ax2/3 and/or cap ax operate in 5ghz-ac mode (wifi-5)? As additions to wap AC that are already installed or they can work only as wifi6? ROS 7.13+

802.11an = wifi4 ?

Can’t test right now but normally it should be backwards compatible.
Anyhow, 5ghz-an is in the list of possible bands to be used.

Sorry my mistake :slight_smile: “-ac” ofcource … fixed. “-an” works out of the box … it has separate interface for 2.4 but i dont want to buy 5 devices and then test backward conpatability on 5Hz interface.

The word “band” confuses me a lot. May be I do not undersand the wifi standards, but for me band is not equal to IEEE 802.11ac/IEEE 802.11ax.

Why?
Does it have to be fixed, the standard is backward compatible and will be used by older devices.

Band has to do with radio frequency.
