Can HotSpot User speedlimit be changed in realtime?

Hey guys

Imagine this scenario:
Hotel using Mikrotik to provide HotSpot WiFi to all guest at no charge
Total Bandwidth coming from ISP = 10MB up / 100MB down
the speedlimit in IP–>Hotspot–>User Profile is set at 1M/5M…

suppose during peak hours, we have 40+ active hotspot users using full limit…that makes the internet really slow for some users.

If I change the speedlimit in Hotspot–>User Profile to 1M/3M, that speed limit affects only new users. The current active users still are on the 1M/5M speed..


Is there any way (scripting or otherwise) that allows me to change Hotspot User speedlimit in realtime WITHOUT having to disconnect the user?

You can use PCQ and address-list for dynamically change the limit for your user.
