I am pretty new to MikroTik, but have several of them deployed and working very well with simple queues that provide all clients with 3m down and 1m up browsing, then through many levels of priority limit downloads of varrying types on PCQ limitations. This is all done via queue trees and we are very pleased with the results. We have cut our total bandwidth consumption by 70% while improving browsing speed.
The only catch is that I want to exempt specific IPs from the queue tree for the purpose of increasing their download to a faster 5mb speed. I tried to do that with simple queues, but it looks like a simple queue can only further restrict an IP, not exempt it. Is there any way to accomplish this or am I going to have to build another box as a 2nd gateway?
