Is your Home WiFi Mikrotik based too?
No it is cisco based
i think it is possible with https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Wireless_Station_Modes#Mode_station-pseudobridge

Do you think a normal bridge would work? And is security profiles the place to enter the WiFi’s ssid?

Bridge and Station Bridge / WDS only works from Mikrotik to Mikrotik, Station pseudobridge works with almost everything
