Can I recover a router with unreadable password label using netinstall ?

I have an hAP ax, with an unreadable password label.

Can i reformat the unit using netinstall ?

Would this set the password to the normal blank password we used to have before ?

My experience is that password is indeed reset (to blank).
Not sure if the reset button can be disabled.

What exact RB do you have? hAP AX2 or hAP AX3?

Beside netinstall:
In all our devices with specific PW on the bottom label, there is a 2nd label with the PW inside the box on the PCB.
Also MT support can tell you the PW if you provide them device with type and serial number.

I think you can do netinstall-cli with the -e (apply empty configuration) options and use winbox (mac address access) the device and then set your own password and ip address. I think the default config sets the preset password.
