Hello please I need to know if I can use load balancing as per wiki “http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Load_Balancing” with the ECMP failover script “http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/ECMP_Failover_Script”.
My doubt is the mangle rule sequence and the relations between them; load balancing now is working fine on a productioon wifi hotspot with 2 wan gateways and I want to implement, possibly with minimum impact on connected customers, the ECMP failover to redirect all traffic on the second gateway in case of failure of the first.
Many thanks for help
Best regards
Alessandro
ECMP is not the best option to load balancing, try with another load balancing with policy of routing and mark.

Many thanks for your reply, but please may be more precise?
Do I have to mark packets (eg. port 80,21 etc.) and output specific traffic on one gateway and the other type of traffic out on the other gateway?
I wish only to divide my traffic, all traffic, onto the two gateways and do a backup of all traffic on one gateway in case the other goes down.
Thanks again
Alessandro
Hi Janisk, many thanks for your update but I already read the wiki pages as you can see at the very top of my topic, in fact my doubts were grown after I read these pages.
Other ideas?
Many thanks to all
Alessandro
