I just want to know if I can use mikrotik on dell precision 420 as my core router and the specs I got from internet it have dual core processor 800mhz total and 1GB of rimm memory.
Burn a CD with a test license (free and good for 24 hours) and test it out.
alright I have a other question can I use a other dell precision 410 that have p2 with mmx technology? because I want to use one or the other one as my core router for my 10m connection you think it can handle it?
It should handle just routing 10Mbps, as long as you don’t do complicated firewall rulesets, QoS, inspections etc.
Again - burn a demo CD and try it out.
A Pentium 90 MHz will easiley do 10 Mbp/s full duplex.
