Can Mikrotik be used as a DPI

Hi all,

I wonder if Mikrotik can be used as DPI.

I want to identify torrent traffic and want them to use another path to internet. I don’t want to block or throttle them, but to make them use only one of my multiple upstream links.

Yes, you can use ip > Firewall > Layer 7 Protocols, then use mangle facilities to divert traffic through the desired wan.

Bear in mind torrent traffic can be ofuscated…
