Can not access router

Hello everyone,

What am I doing wrong here?

I have testing environment setup in the shop. I have the MT card with 4 interface installed in the MT box. one of the interface is setup as local with 10.1.0.1/24 for the gateway. The second interface is setup as a hotspot with 10.1.1.1/24 as the gateway. The problem I have is, when I’m using the hotspot interface I can not use winbox or telnet to access the router. I can ping the local interface from the hotspot interface. On the local interface I can access the router thru the winbox and telnet. On both interfaces I can acess the internet fine. I have added a firewall rule input in the router to allow access from both networks. The aloow rule comes B4 the drop rule. I am running ver 2.8.27.

The second question I have is if I bridge both the local and hotspot interfaces and use one AP, will clients who are setup to use the local or hotspot be able to access the network thru one AP?

B4 you ask when I access the router from the hotspot interface, I am using the gateway address plus the 8081

You need to login to the hotspot in order to access the router.

Yes I log into the hotspot and still no access.

u must be doing something wrong. i will advice you to reconfigure the HS again and make sure you take note of the test user name and password…for you will use that to login to the hotspot.

U cannot get anything port 80,8081,433,icmp done without logging in.try again u will get it right.

Thanks guys I reset everything, reconfigure MT box, tried it and it works fine.
