Can not browse internet using 3G on RB751G

Hi All,

The ppp client is connected but I can’t browse the internet via the LAN or WLAN, How do I get this to work, even the hotspot tutorial doesn’t help.

If i remove the default configuration after i reset, then the Router in inaccessible.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Did you make masquerade on ppp interface?

I’ve tried that, but not sure if i’m doing it right.

Do I go to IP->Firewall->NAT?

Yes in IP → Firewall → NAT
Masquerade - srcnat - ppp-out1 or what else you have named your ppp interface.
Have you tried to ping an external IP from the router?
Is the ppp connection established?

If I ping a site (using the ip) from the router, i get replies. Even when I set masquerading for the PPP interface. Still nothing via the PC/WLAN

Even if i click manual in Winbox, i get the page cannot be displayed message

If you ping from PC an external IP, not address is it responding?
Set allow-remote-requests: yes in IP → DNS
Try to share your ip->routes.

I got it working!

Turns out that aside from doing what you advised me to do, i had to have “Use Peer DNS” checked in my case, i had it unchecked all the time and it never worked.
