I’m having a problem where The Dude does not allow my connection as directly after install. I tried using putty, winbox’s telnet and The Dude client software. All of them deny my connection. I saw a sollution where you have to change the ‘full’ permission group to include ‘dude’ but I do not get this option in the winbox client. I have tried using 2 The Dude versions (6.40.5 and 6.41rc61).
Hello, drakabelkabeldrag!
You may try to follow guide from the Wiki: The_Dude_v6/First_use
Be sure that account which is used for login have at least dude and read permissions as described in the WIki: The_Dude_v6/Admins
Thank you!
I did follow the guide but there is no option to include the ‘dude’ permission when I try to change it in winbox so I still get locked out of The Dude
what version of dude do you use and what version of client? what kind of error message do you have?
drakabelkabeldrag,
Dude v6 is a ROS package which should be installed into ROS: Manual:The_Dude_v6/Installation.
Did you install Dude on your ROS?
Thank you!
