Can not open yahoo mail, gmail, facebook........

Hello;

my name chaya, I’m use RB1100. I’m using Hotspot with FreeRADIUS. User an open all website(http) but it slow to redirect to yahoo mail, gmail, facebook (https site) and sometime pages can no open. what wrong with configuration? Plz help me I’m new in Mikrotik

check your MTU and if you use more than one gateway. I had this problem in the past.

David, Please explain what to do when one check the MTU. How did you resolve your problem?

I have similar problem and I discovered that https sites (yahoomail, especially) do not open when I use Web proxy (i.e. DST NAT Redirect).

However once I disable web proxy feature all sites open. But I need the Web Proxy feature to deny access to some sites and prevent downloading some types of files.

Does Anyone has a solution? I mean another means of denying access to some sites and prevent downloading some types of files without using the web proxy feature?

I will be grateful to find help from anyone.

Chaya77, if you can do without web-proxy, you may want to disable it and use only SRC NAT masquerade.

Thank David, can you give me some information about MTU and how to Config it. I’m use only one gateway.

download mturoute.exe and run it against a few locations on the net. my new favorite tool in my toolbox. use the traceroute switch.

it just tests different packet sizes along the way and reports back:

thx changip, i already test mturouter with -t yahoo.com but the show message “No response from tracerouter form this TTL. Tired 3 times” what the wrong? I already change mtu to 1440. plz help me

are you blocking outbound icmp / udp 344xx ports? If youre not allowing all outbound traffic you are probably breaking things.
