Can not ping from interface connected to a PPPOE modem [SOLVED]

Hi guys,

This is my first post in this forum. I’m still a newbie and I came across this problem and hopefully you guys can help me out.
I am using 2 ISP, they are: (I don’t know if I’m allowed to say my ISP names, but I will do it anyway since my screenshot will show their names)

  1. Biznet, connected as a PPPOE-Client in Mikrotik
  2. Indihome, connected to a modem (Huawei HG8245A) where the modem act as the PPPOE-client

My question is: Why i can not ping from Mikrotik to anywhere in the internet using Indihome’s interface?
i was trying to make an improved Netwatch like the one explained here http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Improved_Netwatch_II, and I found out that I can’t ping from Indihome interface.
Is it something that has to be set from the Huawei modem?
FYI, All the clients can connect to the internet via both Biznet and Indihome.

you connected two internet to your router then you have 2 gateway on your router then you should not do ping internet.
for salve this problem you should use packet mark in firewall

I have found out the solution of this problem. I have to set the routing table in the Ping tool to use the routing table of that WAN interface.

can you explaine more ? i cant ping my ppoe client from mikrotik
